Parts of The Spectrum

There are seven colors which consist of the spectrum. They are commonly known as

VIBGYOR

They stand for

i. Violet.

ii. Indigo.

iii. Blue.

iv. Green.

v. Yellow.

vi. Orange.

vii. Red.

But, there are two more colors. They are ultraviolet and Infrared. They come in the sequence that is as follows

UV VIBGYOR IR

They stand for

i. Ultraviolet Ray

ii. Violet

iii. Indigo

iv. Blue

v. Green

vi. Yellow

vii. Orange

viii. Red

ix. Infrared Ray
