Pollution- proportional to Overpopulation

What is pollution? We all know that it is the contamination of the surroundings(air, water, land, sound).

So how do our surroundings get polluted? Pollution can be man made or natural. Let's use some general incidents which will help us to answer this question.

Well, when we step out of our house in the morning, we often find motor vehicles moving in the streets, honking. The suspended waste materials or the pollutants emitted by these vehicles are a source of air pollution. Other sources of man made air pollution are- burning wood and fossil fuel, smoke from the factories, foul smell and gases emitted from garbage littered outside the dustbins etc.

In the roads of busy cities often our ears get disturbed with the undesirable sounds known as Noise. Noise above 80 decibels is intolerable to our ears and is painful. Honking, watching television and listening to music in large volumes, mahines used in factory sites etc are some examples of noise pollution which we encounter in our daily lives.

The chemicals and fertilisers used by farmers for production of a better yield can become a source of water and soil pollution. The fertilisers and other chemicals given to the crops, seep into the soil and loses the fertility of the soil. During rains these chemicals are washed by and are deposited in the water bodies thereby polluting them.

These are some of the examples which show us that human intervention in the surrounding is polluting it. Human activities are not only affecting the environment but are also harming the habitat and lives of many organisms and animals. Global Warming caused by the green house effect( increase in the carbon dioxide level because of human intervention) is melting the glaciers so that the animals living in the polar region are finding it difficult in living there. Pollution of water bodies by chemicals are harming the organisms living in them. These chemicals make it suitable for algae to grow in them which decrease the biological oxygen demand of the other living organisms living in those water bodies. The above examples are a result of human intervention. Now in this present generation when the world's population is increasing, naturally their demands are also increasing. So what is the result going to be? probabilities are - more global warming that even air conditioners would be unable to keep us cool, increase cases of natural phenomena and disasters. Now that we know what are the consequences going to be ,so why not take action. I know that many activities are been taken to save our environment but an active participation by everyone is required because then only we can be successful in making a pollution free earth.

Population leading to marginalization

Population is leading to marginalization, but how?

Population is leading to marginalization. It’s leading to marginalization because of various reasons. The main reason is that of demand of people. People demands are of more food, more and better furniture, more electronics and many other things.
For the benefit of Indian and to lift all Indians out of poverty, government has increased wages and salaries of every job of people. And as the government is achieving success in their aim of lifting all Indians out of poverty, economic conditions of each and individual Indians have developed.

Now all the Indians are capable of buying goods foods and their daily requirements. But still there are people who are below poverty line.

As the people’s demands increases, market prices also increases. So, as a result the person whose economic condition is good is able to afford buying those goods and the people who are below poverty line are being deprived of those goods. In such a situation, those people who are below poverty line are being marginalized, as they are not getting to enjoy all the things that are enjoyed by the rich persons, and are feeling deprived of those facilities.

Another reason is that though the people are rich, but enough proper food is not available to all of those people. The persons who reach first in the market get the best food. While the persons who reach the market last, only the left out foods are available for them.

This is the present situation.
What will be the situation after a few years?????????

The Present Job Scenario

Gone are the days when people took interest in jobs such as farming, business, medicine, engineering etc. Now we hardly get to hear such terms. Instead people are taking more interest in fields such as- Information Technology, Research and Development and Nanotechnology. Even in the field of medicine we do not simply hear people becoming a cardiologist or nephrologist, we hear them taking up jobs which were not commonly heard previously like interventional radiotherapists, Navigational surgery, robotic surgery etc.

If someone is interested in sports and at the same in medicine ,then he can pursue a carrier in sports medicine such as Kinesiotherapists or Biomechanists. Now in this present generation every job sector has open up multidisciplinary opportunities.

The world of work is enormously diverse but still the number of jobs available is limited. This has lead to the unemployment of many people. And after the recession, the economic slowdown has made everyone tizzy. The slowdown has shaken the professionals as lot of companies are downsizing their employees. With the growing population the need of expanding the job pattern has enhanced the present job sectors.

Population explotion has also become a reason for unemployment. There are so many people ready with their degrees. Millions of people are still jobless inspite of having qualifying degrees. This is a major problem since it affects the unemployed individuals as well as their socio-economis status. It also affects the country's economy. Unemployed individuals are unable to earn money to meet financial obligations. An economy with high unemployment is not using all of the resources, specifically labour, available to it. In extreme cases high levels of unemployment can be causes of civil unrest, in some cases leading to revolution, and particularly totalitarianism.

Many steps are been taken to improvise situations as such. But who knows what is going to happen in the distant future.

HOW MUCH IS YOUR SHARE OF LAND??

To calculate this we need to know some figures about the Earth. It has a surface area of 51 billion ha of which 36.3 billion ha is sea and 14.7 billion ha is land. Of the total land area only 8.3 billion ha is biologically productive. The remaining is either covered by ice or has unsuitable soils or lack of water.
Considering the current human population and the total land area there comes less than 2 ha of land per person. This is the per capita ecological capacity of the world as such. It will vary from country to country depending on the population and the goegraphical area of that country. Do not forget that while calculating this figure we have not left any land for the use of other animal and plant species existing on this Earth. JUST THINK!!!

A WORLD THROUGH MY EYES.

In future, when there will be not enough water availabe for the large
population then water toffees will be used to provide water to the
people in shops, railway stations, airports, etc.

One day the babies will have to think whether they should come to the Earth
or not. Will there be any resources available for their survival???

EXACT COPIES:-)

Just imagine- one day you wake up from your sleep and see yourself sleeping next to you- some of you might think that it'd be cool and some might get chills....
So this is what my article's about-CLONES:-)
Cloning is the production of an exact copy of any organism, a part of it or a cell. To maKe it much easier for you to understand let's take it this way- when a student cheats from his friend's answersheet in the exam, his answer's are a perfect match of his friend's.
SO CLONING IS - MAKING EXACT COPIES....
Now, the world has developed so much with the world's geniuses working out the solution to any problem or question, that everything is possible.

Coming back to the topic of cloning, till now cloning of animals has been possible. On 5th July 1996, Dolly the first mammal to be cloned was born. She was a clone of a Finn Dorsett sheep. She was cloned by Ian Wlmut and his colleagues at the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh, Scottland.

A cell was collected from the mammary gland of a female Finn Dorsett. Simultaneously, an egg was obtained from a Scottish Blackface Ewe. The nucleus was removed from the egg and the cell was inserted. Then the egg was implanted into the Scottish Blackface Ewe. Development of this followed and Dolly was born.

Now, if anyone of you pet lovers cannot bear to part from your dear pets(after their deaths) then you can easily opt for cloning of your pet . This way your beloved pets would be on your side forever and always.

Cloning humans, it is not yet possible ,but all the ones who want to clone yourselves or any of your beloved ones don't be disheartened because in this world NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. I AM SURE THAT IN THE COMING YEARS PREPARING CLONES OF HUMANS WOULD BE 100% POSSIBLE...

Who knows after five years or so you might be found hanging around with your CLONE!!! :-)

POPULATION AND WILDLIFE.

The world population is growing by more than 90 million per year, of which 93% is in developing countries. In the past, population growth was slow but in the recent past it has becoming alarming. So, the Earth is becoming small for the large population. The growing population is also affecting the environment and wildlife to a large extent. With the urban expansions all types of vegetation becomes the first victims and the wild life is exposed to various threats. Human beings procure the forest land for building houses, industries and agriculture. By doing this, humans affect the wildlife found in that area. The ecological balances gets disturbed. It creates many difficulties for the animals. They go out to the cities in search of food. There are many instances when these displaced creatures conflict with the human settlements. Many animals and birds die. Like this, many animals and bird species became extinct. The wildlife is very important us. The wildlife is like jewellary of the Earth. It decorates the Earth with its beauty. If we don't handle it with love and care then it will vanish from our Earth. If every individual becomes eco-conscious, the burden on Earth will reduce tremendously and we all will have a good time ahead.
